Yet another senseless murder happened on Saturday (April 20). Irene Ong Ai Sam, 52 was with her 17-year-old daugther when they were confronted by two rempits (thugs on motorbikes) armed with knives about 4.30pm. One of the low-life stabbed her repeatedly with a kitchen knife before escaping empty-handed. 

It makes you wonder why a thug needs to stab a woman over and over. He must either be high on drugs or he is a seasoned killer.

PETALING JAYA: Many people detest the Mat Rempit because of crimes associated with this group of bikers, and people are now incensed as they are getting more brazen.

Just last Thursday, some 20 Mat Rempit surrounded Kattryn Eng’s 23-year-old daughter, who is deaf and mute, at a petrol kiosk in Subang Jaya at 7am.

They slapped and kicked her daughter before running off with her bag, in the presence of other patrons and attendants. full article

80-year-old man slashed by robbers on bikes

JOHOR BARU: An 80-year-old grandfather was brutally slashed by robbers on motorcycles even after he handed over his cash and a Seiko watch to them.

A bleeding Ang Siow Kee staggered back home to his family who rushed him to the hospital where he was admitted for three days.

Mat Rempit assault, rob 3 foreigners

PETALING JAYA: Seven Mat Rempit assaulted and robbed three foreigners near Damansara Specialist Hospital on Thursday.

Indonesian students Faradilla Dwitya and Clarine Rolanda Wong were walking back to their home nearby with their French friend Ronan Gilles le Fur, when the Mat Rempit surrounded them at 6.15pm.

One of them brandished a knife at Faradilla and tugged at her handbag, but the plucky 19-year-old refused to let go.

Faradilla was then assaulted, and when Clarine and Ronan tried to help, they too were beaten up. The Mat Rempit then robbed them of their personal belongings, including wallets and mobile phones.

They later lodged a report at the Taman Tun Dr Ismail police station.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Arjunaidi Mohamad said police patrols in the area had been increased to prevent similar incidents. NST

Mat Rempit gang up to rob

KUALA LUMPUR: Mat Rempit showed their ruthlessness when they pounced on their victims and bashed one up in two separate incidents within 24 hours.

In the first incident that happened at Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Damansara Utama at 6.20am on Thursday, a 51-year-old housewife was walking her 16-year-old son to the bus stop to wait for the schoolbus when they were approached by at least 40 Mat Rempit on 20 motorcycles.

They surrounded the terrified mother and son before pushing the boy away and grabbing her gold bracelet worth around RM1,000. Fortunately both did not suffer injuries.

The victim in the second case was not so lucky as he was bashed up with helmets and sticks before being relieved of his wallet and two mobile phones.

The 27-year-old man was re-turning home to Sentul after work at 4.30am yesterday and had stopped in front of the National Museum near Jalan Travers to make a phone call.

He was reported to have noticed at least 15 motorcycles speeding past him and did a U-turn upon seeing him.

The Mat Rempit members beat him up with sticks and helmets before robbing him. The victim suffered bruises to his face and back.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid who confirmed both incidents urged witnesses to both incidents to SMS to Rakan Cop or call the police at 03-2115 9999.

From the CCTV footage the robbery was over in just under 90 seconds! These scums are well-organized. They have a few goons standing watch outside and they probably will dash off in different directions if (unlikely though) the cops arrive and meet up at a pre-determined spot to count their loot.



Was this what Khairy Jamaluddin (current UMNO Youth head) had in mind when he praised the thugs and called the "Mat Cemerlang"(Brilliant). The suggestion by Khairy that "Mat Rempits" should become the "Eyes and Ears" for the Malaysian Police Force.
